Gawd this guy is terrible. His drumming is as stubborn as he is. It has NEVER changed over all the decades. Sort of a weird beatnik messy thing. The other guys can play but Ginger drags off time.

Unlike other drummers who EVOLVE over time, Ginger NEVER evolved. He plays the same weird beatnik British bebop anything-goes-screw-timing-and-tempo way he always did. Just slow as snails.

Wonder if Ginger enjoyed that kit. He was with Ludwig for so long and then I heard they let him down when he was in trouble. Enter DW. Ginger was into African rhythms, not a rudimental player. Some people called him a jazz player which I disagree with. I would say rock was his base. He had a more primal feel. Like him or not, he will not be forgotten.
